Renewable Energy and Insurance
he Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee is delighted to be hosting a technical insurance event on Renewable Energy and Insurance. This is a CPD event and is open to all CII members and non members too.
Our speaker, Alistair Cottle is a Senior Trading Underwriter for Construction, Power and Engineering at Aviva with a particular interest in renewable energy.
Having worked as a broker for 10 years, Alistair recently switched his attention to underwriting where he believes he brings both perspectives to the table when considering risks and the possible implications to clients.
He is actively engaged with the industry delivering education programs and this is reflected in his own exploits where he has MSc in Psychology, is an Associate member of the CII and represents the Edinburgh Insurance Institute on the Education committee.
This event will focus on renewable energy and associated technologies, underwriting considerations and claims.
By attending this event delegates will be able to understand:
• how renewable energy works – wind, solar, hydro, bio-energy
• underwriting considerations for renewable energy
• where claims arise in connection with renewable energy.
A buffet lunch is provided for CII members at 12.30pm and non-members should arrive at 12.55pm.
We hope to conclude by 2pm.
This demonstrates the quality of an event and that it meets CII member CPD scheme requirements.
1 hour's CPD can be claimed for this event if relevant to your learning and development needs.
It is recommended that you keep any evidence of the CPD activity you have completed and upload copies to the recording tool as the CII may ask to see this if your record is selected for review. Details of the scheme can be viewed online at www.cii.co.uk/cpd.
