You Are A Leader – Did You Know This?

The Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee is delighted to be providing a coaching course of leadership skills for our next CPD event.

Ian Ferguson ACII Chartered Insurer, is a former director at Aviva and past president of Perth and Dundee CII and is our presenter for this session.

Due to popular demand we have asked Ian to return and provide a full session on leadership skills following the success of his 1 hour lunchtime session in January.

Ian is a highly experienced leader who is still striving to lead better. He is a qualified Executive Coach and a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership and Management.

We are all leaders. Whether with direct reports, our peers, virtual teams or even with our family.

We all know poor leadership when we see it, but do we actually know what good leadership looks like?

This session will make you think about how you behave as a leader. It will give you a simple model to help guide you and make you think more consciously about how you lead. The session is designed to be memorable and practical.

The target audience is people who are either in, or soon to be in a leadership role (either direct reports or a virtual team such as a project team). Ian’s mantra is to use leadership to grow the individuals in the business and through that to grow the business.

• Properly understand what constitutes good leadership
• Really take time to think about how you lead and which aspects you may want to improve
• Provide a simple leadership model to help day to day decision making
