WEBINAR: GDPR – raising awareness of data protection
The Insurance Institute of Perth & Dundee is happy to announce that they are inviting all Scottish CII members to their next webinar which will focus on GDPR legislation and how it is important to us in our roles in the insurance profession.
We are delighted to have secured 2 speakers from ICO Scotland for this event:
Stephen Peacock, Senior Policy Officer
Stephen joined the ICO as a Senior Policy Officer within the Scotland Office in December 2019. Before that Stephen built up experience in both the technical delivery of digital solutions and policy aspects of privacy and data protection having worked in industry and then for the Scottish Government.
Dominique Mitchell, Senior Policy Officer
Dominique is a Senior Policy Officer within the Scotland Office of the ICO with particular interest in data protection and vulnerable adults/families and children. Previously Dominique worked in the Complaints team handing data protection complaints from individuals and prior to that role, worked with the Freedom of Information legislation in a council in England.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this session delegates will be able to identify:
What personal information is
What a data breach is and the penalties What a subject access request is and the information to be provided
