WEBINAR: Policy Reading – hints and tips on reading and understanding policy wordings

The Insurance Institute of Perth and Dundee is delighted to announce that their next online CPD event will focus on policy reading. Policy wordings can be difficult to navigate and understand. This interactive workshop will assist in making your task quicker, easier and more effective.

This workshop will benefit our general insurance members involved in underwriting, broking, claims handling and loss adjusting.

Learning outcomes:

- Understand policy construction
- Understand coverage considerations in relation to claims
- Develop improved time management when reading policy documentation

This interactive workshop will be delivered by Sue Taylor ACII, Chartered Insurance Broker, Advanced Diploma CILA, Director - Sue Taylor Limited. Sue’s career began in the City in 1980 at the Commercial Union as a graduate trainee, learning the basics of underwriting. Sue diversified into broking in the London and provincial markets with Aon and Miller.

Sue focuses on commercial insurance, national and international programmes, including their design, wordings, placement and claims, matching theory to practice. This breadth of experience enables Sue to provide wide reaching examples to pass her knowledge on to others. An acknowledged author of leading texts and articles as well as
a frequent public speaker.
