Insurance and Risk Management in 2019 & Beyond

Peterborough United Football Club
Thursday, 17 January 2019
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • Jeff Heasman, Jeff Heasman Training & Consulting

Overview: This thought-provoking and interactive session will provide an overview of the current opportunities and threats that are trending in the global insurance industry.
The industry has never been more ripe for disruption. Customer needs and demands are evolving more rapidly than ever before and businesses need to adapt to these changes, whilst also considering associated risk management issues. Against a backdrop of regulatory change, a redefining of insurance distribution methods and new product opportunities, artificial intelligence, big data and the growth of the Internet of Things present exciting challenges but also threats. How a company develops its business model to adjust to new and evolving areas such as cyber security and crime, for example, will determine its short term and long term success. This session will provoke discussion as to how current and predicted trends fit in to the local context. From data analytics to the future of underwriting, pricing and claims handling, this is a seminar for staff at all levels. By the end of the event, participants will be able to:

• Understand the nature and importance of risk management.
• Recognise current and predicted trends in the global insurance industry.
• Apply the current and predicted trends to a local context.
• Create local solutions that will maximise opportunities and minimise risk.

Please note that this event will be held in the Noel Cantwell Suite which is located in the ABAX Stadium's South Stand. Due to limited parking near the South Stand entrance, we recommend that you park near the Main Reception and walk around the stadium to access the venue.

This event is free to members and non-members. Buffet lunch included.
