As we have had to cancel the Plymouth & Cornwall CII Dinner this year, your council have been thinking about how we can still celebrate a year of achievement in 2020!

We have extended the list of awards this year and the winners will receive a trophy plus a special gift.

Do you know someone, or believe you have demonstrated the below qualities to win one of these awards? If the answer is yes, then we invite you to submit your nomination.

  • Customer Service Champion
  • Treating Customers Fairly Champion
  • Outstanding Study Achievement- CII/PFS student of the year in Plymouth or Cornwall
  • Work Wellbeing Champion
  • Service to the community during lockdown
  • Most engaged employer
  • As well as the annual Achiever and Young Achiever Awards!

Here's more on the winning criteria below:

  • Customer Service Champion

This award is to recognise an individual or a team who go the extra mile for their customers. They will have an exceptional attitude to customer service and nothing is too much trouble for their customers. Who might you nominate? Someone who does a brilliant job, all the time!

  • Treating Customers Fairly Champion

Treating Customers Fairly is not just about ticking boxes - it's about an attitude and mindset that ensures responsibilities in this area are fully complied with, while still demonstrating that customers are the centre of everything we do within the industry. Is there someone in your Company who deserves this recognition?

  • Outstanding Study Achievement- CII/PFS student of the year in Plymouth or Cornwall

This Award is for the CII or PFS Student who has accomplished an outstanding level of study achievements over the course of 2020. This year has been difficult enough and dispite this many people have continued with their studies and maintained focus. Do you know someone like this? Someone who has stayed motivated and enthusiastic towards their exams or CPD maybe?

  • Work Wellbeing Champion

It has certainly been challenging over the last few months to maintain a high level of physical and mental health but is there someone in your business who is either officially or unofficially looking out for everyone’s wellbeing? The organiser of challenges or quizzes to keep us all motivated at work or simply someone who is always checking everyone is ok. Is there someone who has inspired you with what they have managed to achieve during this unusual time?

  • Service to the community during lockdown

Whilst in lockdown, the importance of our local community became more apparent than ever before with people becoming reliant on friends and neighbours for the most basic things like provision of healthcare services and the weekly shop. Is there anyone in your business who has gone over and above to help their local community during the pandemic crisis over the last few months? Putting other people’s needs ahead of their own personal challenges during this tricky time.

  • Most engaged employer

This year has certainly been unusual for employers having to adapt to keeping in touch with their staff remotely, whether staff were furloughed or simply working from home. How has your employer reacted to these new challenges? Has your employer been especially effective at communicating and engaging with their employees? Are there some brilliant examples of what employers have been doing that you would like to share with others and give your employer some recognition for the effort they have made?

  • Achiever & Young Achiever Awards 2020

These awards will recognise the efforts of high achieving individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance, achievement and attitude in all aspects of their professional life.

All employees, from junior office staff to managers, are eligible to nominate themselves or be nominated for these awards that acknowledge not only their performance as an individual, but also the support they have received from their employer.
