How to maximise opportunities in a Hard market
"If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, then yours is the hard insurance market and all the distressed clients within in it" (an insurance version of Rudyard Kipling) There have been hard markets before, there have been recessions before, but never have the two emerged with such force at the same time. Policyholders desperate for savings will be receiving the unwelcome news of significant premium increases. The door of client inertia will be swung wide open, presenting fantastic new business opportunities, as well as offering serious threats to renewal books. This webinar is delivered by Alan Chandler and is a great follow on from his incredibly well-received presentation "The Perfect Storm" on why there will be a hard market.

Directors' & Officers' Insurance and Employment Practices Liability in a plain English nutshell
This session will briefly explain the history and how the D&O market place is changing, including the fact that many more directors are being sued individually and also the fact that the amount of HSE prosecutions have trebled against individual directors since 2015. This is no longer a cover that ANY director can ignore, and ironically if a director refuses D&O without consulting their fellow directors they have massively increased their own personal D&O exposure. Too many brokers are saying to their clients that the maximum limit a company should set for D&O is the sum total of all the directors personal assets - this is wrong and will lead to a PI claim against that broker! The trainer for this session, Alan Chandler, runs his own training and consultancy business, so does not come with any agenda for promoting a specific insurer's wording. This presentation will be focusing on how to make it easy to understand the main purpose of this valuable cover. Alan Chandler, widely regarded as one of the leading trainers and presenters within the UK, in his usual engaging style will help provide a plain English overview on D & O and EPL insurance suitable for all those in the insurance industry.
