Dealing with Difficult People

This is a joint lecture with the Insurance Institute of Blackburn and Burnley.

In both our Business and Social lives, we sometimes come across 'difficult' people. Why are they so troublesome? We will answer that question, and many others, and suggest ways we can handle them.

Target audience: This session is suitable for anyone who has contact with customers, service providers, staff, colleagues, insurers, brokers and in fact anyone (including the public!).

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
-Describe why some people are 'Difficult'
-Develop an awareness of Influencing Styles
-Control awkward situations
-Deal with conflict
-Provide effective feedback to colleagues
-Manage your boss
-Be more confident with a wide range of people

Bill Atkinson FCII is a trainer with CII, BIBA and Create Solutions. Bill is a former experienced manager with Insurers, Brokers and Consultants.
