The three Kent institutes comprising Mid Kent, Royal Tunbridge Wells, and Folkestone, Canterbury & East Kent are delighted to announce the details of their fifth annual conference.

• how the collapse of the caliphate and return of ‘foreign fighters’ is an inflection point for European terrorism risks
• tactics and intent of Islamist attacks: despite adoption of vehicle impact and other low-capability tactics, risks continue of “spectaculars” aimed at mass casualties and property damage
• future evolution of the Islamist terrorism threat: post-Islamic State, al-Qaeda’s resurgence and the next generation of jihadists
• adoption of new technology (e.g. UAVs) by militants
• relevance of such trends for non-damage BI terrorism insurance products.
