The webinar will cover both Relevant Life and Executive Income protection plans . A Relevant Life Plan allows employers to provide an individual death in service style benefit for an employee including directors . The policy is written in a tax efficient way leading to potential cost savings.

Income Protection is arguably one of the most important areas of protection, but often it's not discussed, giving way to life or critical illness advice. Research suggests that those who owning or working for a small business, (often a limited company) are unlikely to have any form of longer term sick pay arrangement. Executive Income protection can help advisers bridge these client's personal and business protection needs.

The session is designed to give insight into the how the products work, their tax position and how it could fit within an holistic advice process.

The areas covered and learning objectives are

  1. Understand the criteria for a Relevant Life Plans and Executive Income Protection, and how these policies are structured in a tax efficient manner leading to the potential savings a customer can achieve.
  2. Identify why it is important to highlight the importance of protecting your income as part of a financial review for self-employed and business clients and the role Executive Income Protection plans can play.
  3. Identify the opportunities for writing Relevant Life Plans and Executive Income protection, and the potential additional opportunities with Business customers.
