Live Webinar - Unconscious Bias, Recognising Racism and Language of Equality
Do we really understand unconscious bias and its effect?
Do we truly recognise racism?
Do we sometimes get too scared to ask questions or say things just because we are worried we use the wrong word or phrase?
Join us for this webinar where we will explore and discuss the topic of Unconscious Bias, Recognising Racism and Equality.
Molly-May Smith (she/her) is the North West Manager at Show Racism the Red Card, a national anti-racist educational charity which delivers programmes and workshops to adults and young people in schools and workplaces across the UK.
She is also a lead youth activist at Amnesty International UK; sits on the national executive for a Black-led trade union; and has a Masters in Politics.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand the barrier to equality and the role of Unconscious Bias;
- Better understand what racism is and its impact on individuals and the society;
- Recognise and reflect on the power of language.
