Good afternoon everyone, I hope you and your families are all keeping well. I thought it was time we had a little catch up and asked how you're all doing in these very strange times.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was honoured to be elected President of The Insurance Institute of Stoke-on-Trent. Many of you will know that this is my third time in the role. This year though is certain to be very different.
I will be ably assisted by the Deputy President, Shaun Hyden, and the rest of the Council. Usually straight after the AGM we set about planning our events for the next few months or so. Specifically we would be putting together our Syllabus of lunchtime lectures. At the moment we can't say when we will be able to resume face to face meetings and so that you can maintain your CPD we will be providing access to webinars and other online facilites. If there are particular subjects that you'd like to see please let me know. Given sufficient interest we will try to find them for you.
Please do get in touch and let me know if you are struggling with the current circumstances. Hopefully you are all aware of The Insurance Charities. They can provide support for current and former insurance employees and their dependants in the UK and Ireland, experiencing difficult life events such as:
I can help you reach out to them.
We will keep in touch but in the meantime stay safe.
