The Stratford Insurance Institute (SII) would like to invite you to the upcoming lecture on “Use of Drones”.

Crop Angel specialises in the delivery of agricultural services using UAV (drone) technology and will be bringing a drone with them for you all to see. They are focused on being one of the first companies to offer crop spraying drones within the UK. Currently they are working in conjunction with research partners and the required authorities to ensure the safe and beneficial deployment of this precision technology to the needs of farmers and growers. The company employs specialist staff who know drones, are certified CAA drone pilots with over 40 years of farming experience having run a large precision based farm in Norfolk, East Anglia.

The lunchtime lecture will be held in the Conference room in the Tiddington office. The lecture is free and non-members from across the Group are welcome. 1 hour of CPD can be claimed for this event if relevant to your learning and development needs.

Learning Objectives By the end of this session delegates will be able:

· To identify existing uses of drone technology in agriculture

· To develop an awareness for the potential future uses of such technology and how these are developing to enhance the agri-tech sector

· To understand challenges / legislative hurdles in operating drones in one of the busiest airspace in the world.
