The Digital Hostage: Ransomware in the Workplace

Following the recent attacks against the NHS and other organisations, it is clear that ransomware is one of the key emerging threats across both Financial Services and the vast majority of industry sectors and government.

The Insurance Institute of Sussex is therefore delighted to see Chris Cooper, Security Consultant and Tester at SureCloud, return to talk to us about this complex subject that includes several areas of information security including phishing, social engineering, malware/viruses and security patching.

During his talk, Chris will bring these subjects into perspective for both businesses and end-users, helping them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the risks and how to manage them.

By drawing on his personal experiences in simulating ransomware attacks for his clients and analysis of attacks that occur in the public eye, Chris will also give delegates a solid understanding on how to defend themselves and their businesses from general malware and phishing attacks.
