An Introduction to Marine Cargo Insurance

Clair Hall
Thursday, 21 June 2018
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)
    • Ben Woodman, Regional Marine Manager, Aviva

Our technical seminar series continues with an Introduction to Marine Cargo Insurance, where Ben Woodman will seek to demystify the perceived complexity of marine cargo insurance.

Focusing on the risks that clients unknowingly (or naively) face as part of their logistic model, Ben will address how these can be turned into risk transfer solutions through the use of insurance.

During this free one hour CPD seminar, Ben will explore:

  • the typical cover available and how this is aligned to a Property & Casualty programme

  • whether items are own goods in transit or cargo

  • international trading conditions and third party carrier negligence

  • required underwriting information

  • claims examples and the claims settlement journey
