InsurTech 101 - Artificial Intelligence
*** Latest Update ***Event Postponed***
Tuesday 24 September: We regret to announce that we have just been informed that our speaker has had to postpone this talk. We will rearrange it as soon as we can and hope that all those who booked will be able to attend the new date.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this news.
New technologies have been the “Uber” of business models, with new entrants regularly displacing established industry incumbents using models that existing players cannot compete against.
InsurTech is a batch of new entrants that are planning to fundamentally change the insurance industry by either displacing existing insurance companies, or by working with them for mutual benefit.
Having such a potential impact, we are delighted to welcome Sumit Sethi, Director of Sum It Consultancy to speak to us. During this free one-hour CPD seminar, Sumit will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning as he uncovers
what these technologies are
when they were created
where they are being utilised
Sumit will also explore how these start-ups are transitioning into the insurance industry and which are the ones to look out for.
Open to all members and their guests, this event will be of general interest to everyone as InsurTech is likely to impact all areas of the insurance industry.
If you would like to join us, please use our online booking form by clicking on the Book Now button below.
Light refreshments will be available from 6.00pm until the seminar starts.
By the end of the seminar, delegates will be able to:
describe the concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) including the nuances between Machine Learning and Deep Learning
understand how these technologies have advanced since being developed
cite the interdependent technologies that have propelled AI into businesses
identify the current and future applications of these technologies
recognise the main InsurTechs in this space and their value propositions
overlay applications of AI across Broking, Claims, PFS and Underwriting
If travelling by car, the nearest car park is in Cyprus Road at the back of the Town Council Offices building on Crescent Way. Please note that Pay & Display charges apply until 6.00pm, but parking is free after this.
Burgess Hill train station is about 7 minutes' walk from the venue.
Please note: this event will take place at the Council Chamber on the 1st floor. A lift will normally be available for delegates to access the training, but stairs will need to be used in the event of an emergency evacuation of the building.
