Join the BIBA West Midlands committee and Birmingham Insurance Institute at Beazley's fabulous offices with a sun terrace for some excellent CPD and a great opportunity to network with fellow insurance professionals. There will be nibbles and a variety of drinks available.
Title of talk: Management Liability Claims stories and trends (30 Mins); Introduction to the BIBA Event Insurance Scheme (10 mins)
The first session will introduce a range of risk trends affecting directors and officers of SME businesses in the UK. The themes include increasing regulatory scrutiny and a rise in company insolvencies. We will also look at employment practices liability (EPL) claims statistics and trends as well as touching upon emerging risks like Artificial Intelligence. The second session will give an overview of the enhanced event insurance proposition that BIBA brokers and their clients benefit from.
Learning objectives
By the end of this session delegates should be able to:
- Explain how Management Liability risks are changing for organisations and senior managers
- Describe examples of incidents where a Management Liability policy would protect clients
- Identify the benefits of the BIBA Event Insurance Scheme
