The presentation will provide an update on the recent legal development impacting on motor liability and liability insurer in general.

Kelvin is an experienced Litigation Lawyer, Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings) and he has a niche expertise and understanding of the insurance sector. He acts for Domestic and European Insurance companies, mainly in connection with defending motor claim cases.
He is a member of the Law Society Specialist Personal Injury Panel and also of FOIL (Forum of Insurance Lawyers). Kelvin currently sits on FOIL’s “European Issues” Sector Focus team and he has published articles in various regional publications, in trade journals such as ‘The New Law Journal’, ‘PI Brief Update Law Journal’, ‘The Post Magazine’ and ‘The Solicitors Journal’ as well as appearing in a lawyer training DVD for The College of Law, London.
Kelvin has been recognised in Chambers (2018) and he is recommended in the Legal 500 (2019).

The session is aimed at all CII/PFS members or guests who are interested in an update on the recent legal developments that have an impact upon motor and liability insurers.

At the end of the session, attendees will have learnt:
- about recent developments in case law impacting on liability claims;
- about legislative changes impacting on liability claims;
- about forthcoming changes and how these may also impact on liability claims;
- to take this back to their desks and bear it in mind when dealing with their own claims in the future.
