The Insurance Charities launches Domestic Abuse Toolkit

Domestic Abuse toolkit launched at House of Commons

Over recent years The Insurance Charities have helped an increasing number of people deal with the devastating effects of domestic abuse.

Many have to flee their homes leaving behind everything including their family and job to be safe. The Insurance Charities have helped these people start again by financing their new life but starting again emotionally is much more difficult.

That's why they've sponsored the Domestic Abuse toolkit. Created in partnership with Business in the Community (BITC) and Public Health England (PHE) the toolkit was launched to the insurance industry on June 26 at the House of Commons. Victoria Atkins MP also gave an update on the forthcoming Domestic Abuse Bill.

The toolkit is free and helps employers identify and support victims and perpetrators. Full details, including how to download the toolkit, are on their website www.theinsurancecharities.org.uk
