Where do I begin? Researching, structuring and writing coursework assignments - Eastbourne

Are you studying towards your CII/PFS qualifications which include a coursework element? If so, join us as Jeff Heasman delivers this practical and interactive seminar.

With no tutor support and having to complete coursework alongside a hectic professional life, this seminar teaches key study skills to help you get started with your assignments and ensure you write the best possible submission.

The event is free to CII/PFS members (non-members £25) and lasts a whole morning, during which Jeff will also look at research techniques, structure, how to influence the examiner through your writing, referencing and how to avoid plagiarism.

Online Booking
This session is open to anyone who is studying towards their exams and will start at 9.30am (with registration from 9.00am onwards) and will finish at 12.45pm.

Light refreshments (tea/coffee/juice and biscuits) will be available from 9.00am and again during the mid-morning break.

Learning objectives
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• properly plan and research coursework assignments

• structure assignments and use appropriate language throughout

• include evidence in an assignment in a structured and easy to read format

• properly reference sources and avoid plagiarism

This workshop will take place on the top floor of the building which, although served by a lift, will only be accessible by stairs in the event of an emergency.

Getting there
There is no on-site car parking at Ansvar & parking can be very difficult in local roads. The office is very near Eastbourne station you may wish to use the station car park if driving.
