Special General Meeting – Proposed Name Change of the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen

A Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen, is to be held on 16th June at 16:30.

At this meeting, we will be putting forward a proposal to rename the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen to The Aberdeen Institute of Insurance and Financial Planning.

Why this change is being proposed:

• The new name more accurately reflects the scope of our members' professional activities.
• It highlights our inclusive support for both Financial Planning and General Insurance professionals.
• It aims to enhance visibility and accessibility for members and non-members alike.

We encourage all members to attend, either in person or remotely, to ensure your voice is heard on this important development.
