About The Session
We are delighted to provide a session on Neurodiversity in the workplace, delivered by local charity SensationALL.
Their training packages are designed to give you an insight into SensationALL's neuro-affirming approaches to help you become a more inclusive organisation or community, embedding a proactive approach to equality, diversity, inclusion and resilience.
These workshops are suitable for employees of all levels whether they are neurodivergent or neurotypical. Our practitioner will lead you through a fun session that will:
• Provide a positive insight into neurodiversity and a deeper dive of Autism
• Consider different learning, working and communication styles
• Use interactive methods to give examples
• Share practical strategies
• Give a wider understanding of neurodiversity to support yourself or those you work with
Learning Objectives
• Appreciate the concept of neurodiversity, including common and coexisting presentations.
• Recognise the influence of trauma and neurodivergence on self-regulation and relationships.
• Explore the role of neuroscience, sensory processing, and environmental factors.
• Gain insight into common challenges and experiences.
• Introduction to tools for enhancing practice in promoting self-awareness, effective communication, regulation, environmental adaptations and sensory considerations.
• Introduction to neuro-affirming practice and approaches.
• Application of tools and practice to employee profiles.
• Introduction to tools for analysis of presentations, professional practice including environmental adaptations and sensory considerations.
• Reflection on current practice and consideration of discussed strategies for workplace application.
• Through personal reflection, prepare content for professional, team and workplace planning
Hosting the Session - Rebekah Moorhouse, Clinical Team Leader
Rebekah has been with SensationALL for 8 years ,with 12+ years of expertise supporting disabled and neurodivergent individuals across multidisciplinary care settings. She is trained in occupational health techniques with a specialist interest in neuroscience, bringing a strong understanding of cognitive, behavioural, and neurological processes to clinical assessment and support planning.
