Following the AGM, Clyde & Co will be providing an update on the latest case law on liability claims. This session will provide an insight into the latest legal position on liability and how the courts are dealing with claims.

David Thompson is a Legal Director at Clyde & Co based in Birmingham. He focuses on catastrophic injury and cross border litigation.

He routinely works with insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and corporate clients on claims within motor, employers’ liability, public liability and product liability risks. His caseload typically includes matters involving serious brain injury, spinal cord damage, amputation, chronic pain and fatalities.

Outside of his litigation duties, David is the co-lead of the Clyde & Co Cross-Border subject matter group and a member the Catastrophic Injury Amputation subject matter group He is also co-editor of "Bingham & Berrymans’ Personal Injury and Motor Claims Cases", and regularly delivers presentations at various events on claims defensibility and claims trends analysis.

Adrian Marston is a Legal Director at Clyde & Co based in Birmingham. He specialises in dealing with large value and complex / novel injury claims, arising from employers, public, motor and product liability.

A litigator with 30 years of experience, Adrian has acted for Defendants throughout his career, working alongside insurers, brokers and corporates. He has a special interest in cases involving chronic pain conditions, psychiatric injuries and matters involving commercial and reputational risks to the client.

He regularly delivers training and updates on trends and claims defensibility.
