2016/2017 Prize Winners

The Ernest Morgan Award for the Best Associateship of The Chartered Insurance Institute

Was presented to Helen Idle of AXA Insurance. She was presented with a cheque and a glass trophy in recognition.

The Insurance Institute of Bolton Award for the Best Candidate

Was presented to Paul Handford of Prudential Insurance. He was presented with a cheque and a glass trophy to be kept in recognition.

Young Achiever of the Year Award Which recognises the person who has made significant strides in their professional development over the past year, clearly demonstrating their contribution to the team or department in which he or she works.

Was presented to Matthew Clarke of AXA Insurance who received the annual trophy plus a glass award to keep in recognition.

Daniel Pakinkis of AXA Insurance received a glass trophy for his highly commended nomination.

The Chartered Insurance Institute Distinguished Service Award (National Award)

Grant Scott, Vice President of The Chartered Insurance Institute presented Ian German with a Distinguished Service Award in recognition to his service to the local insurance institute. Ian has been a member of council since the early 1980s and has been involved in organising successful sports and social events that many people have found memories of and has been the Careers and Education Secretary for the last 10 years. Ian is responsible for ensuring we have an exam centre in Bolton and has been working with colleges and universities in the area to encourage young people to consider a career in insurance. Ian has also organised our recent educational trips to Lloyds and Aldermanbury and is a very active member of council. We are very honoured that the CII have selected Ian for this award.
