Bank of England Monetary Policy Report presentation hosted by
Simon Drake, Professional Qualifications Officer for the Personal
Finance Society Lancashire, Merseyside and Cumbria Region with
speaker Alison Stuart from the Bank of England.

The quarterly Report sets out the economic analysis and inflation
projections that the Monetary Policy Committee uses to make its
interest rate decisions. The presentation will focus on changes to the
outlook since the February report and prospects as the economy
emerges out of lockdown.

Alison Stuart became our Agent for the North West in January 2021

Alison rejoined the Bank of England from the Intemational Monetary
Fund (2005- 2020) in Washington DC. She was a Division Chief in in
‘the IMF's Asia Pacific Department and held positions in the Strategy
Policy and Review Department.

Alison started her career at the Bank of England in 1986. Her roles
included support for external members of the Monetary Policy
Committee (2004-5), various roles in Monetary Analysis, Statistics
and International, and representing the UK delegation to the IMF and
World Bank (2001-2004). She worked at HM Treasury (1992-1994,
and 1998)

Alison has a first degree in economics from Sheffield University and a
master's degree from Birkbeck University of London. Alison grew up
in Leeds. Her interests include rugby union, cricket, football and
hiking
