Speaker Biographies & Content of Presentation

Ian is a highly experienced and motivated Business Development Coach and advisor, with over 35 years practical and hands-on business experience. He is passionate about working closely with businesses of all sizes and stages to help them grow. His career has included working for large national and international corporates in various senior roles focused on strategy, sales and business development, combined with working at the ‘sharp-end’ in sales for many years, often in very competitive markets including Insurance and the Financial Sector. He now works very closely for and with SME’s across several vertical markets, helping to bring clarity and focus to overcoming barriers to growth - and delivering results. For Ian it’s not just about helping develop the growth strategy for your business, it’s about delivering on it…getting his hands dirty and doing stuff, not just talking about it!

Ian’s focus for his session will be on developing strategic growth plans based on trends, technology and data management and providing real-world advice to help drive sales and business development

Steve is a passionate and creative marketer and training manager, working across different sectors and distribution chains over the last 30 years. He has many successes in corporate sales & operations, developing international brands in Europe & Africa. Sectors include Automotive, the Tobacco Industry & FMCG, DIY sector, Broadcast Media and Chambers of Commerce. He started his career with the Debenhams Group management training programme, and has always been passionate about Customer Sales strategy and training.

Steve will question if Insurance and Financial services are partly or completely commoditized in the online environment of consumerism, and how the Customer and client can be part of your marketing team. In addition he will highlight the challenges of communicating technically complex and drier subjects to audiences.
