Third Party Event: Embracing Diversity & Inclusion: The Flight Path

Tuesday, 06 November 2018

Venue: Aspire, 2 Infirmary Street, Leeds, LS1 2JP

The business benefits of having a diverse team are clear, ranging from greater innovation and greater employee satisfaction to increased revenues. However, often we forget that beyond every box that gets ticked on a report, there are individual stories of courage and commitment that are helping to make society more inclusive.

Join this free event to hear from four inspirational leaders who will share their insights and experience on how diversity and inclusion has evolved, challenges on the journey, best practices, and perspectives on the future. The discussion will also look at unconscious bias and how it affects interaction and decision making.

The panel includes:

  • Sue Pascoe, who advises Channel 4 on inclusion and is a trustee of the largest LGBT and sexual health charity in the North East;
  • Karen Finlayson, a Partner in PWC's Risk Assurance who leads on the organisation's diversity and inclusion agenda in the North and was recently awarded Professional Services Senior Leader for 2018 by the British Black Business Association;
  • James Heathcote, Private Client & Family Business Adviser, EY who co-chairs the firm's Mental Health Network; and
  • Billy Cole, Client Account Manager, Stonewall.
