Virtual Annual Dinner

As you will be only too well aware all of our Annual Dinners have this year fallen victim to Covid-19, along with most other large social gatherings.

However, we are pleased and proud to announce what may well be a FIRST for a CII Local Institute – a Covid-compliant Annual Dinner to be held remotely via Zoom.

In organising this event our objectives are:-
1. To bring the insurance community together in an enjoyable social environment.
2. To recognise the achievements of our successful CII examination candidates and especially our local Prize winners
3. To support our wonderful charities, who are suffering from greatly reduced income in these difficult times.

Even better, as the event is COMPLETELY FREE OF CHARGE, you are invited to bring along as many colleagues, workmates, friends and family as you can muster! We are hoping that attendees will contribute generously to our fundraising efforts on behalf of:-

• The Insurance Charities
• The President’s nominated charity, Touchstone
100% of monies raised will be split equally between the 2 charities.

Format will include the following:-
• If desired, food and drink of your choice in the comfort of your own home, with or without partners/families. Dress is also entirely optional and as formal or outrageous as you like!
• Everyone is welcome – no charge but a suggested charity donation to our Virgin Giving Charity Page: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/IILPresident
• Contributions from our own President Melanie Jordan, a guest speaker from the CII, Touchstone representative Alison Lowe and our special guest, Paralympic Champion Hannah Cockroft.
• ‘Entertainment’ (TBA!)
• A charity raffle. All attendees are automatically entered into the raffle at no charge. (A donation of at least £10 to the charity fund is suggested).
• All under the control of our good friend and Toastmaster Bob Leeming, who has kindly donated his services free of charge in support of our charity partners.

A detailed itinerary along with joining instructions will be sent to guests prior to the event.
