Christmas Foodbank Appeal 2025

At the Insurance Institute of Leeds, we’re proud to continue our fundraising efforts for the Leeds South & East Foodbank. This season often brings added challenges for those facing hardship, and the foodbank responds by distributing a significant number of food parcels to support local families.

We are raising awareness of food poverty in our area and would welcome our members’ support raising funds and donating items this Christmas.

You can help in various ways:

Monetary Donations
The Insurance Institute of Leeds has a Just Giving page you can donate to. Our target is to raise £15,000 by March 2026. All funds go directly to the foodbank. Please click here to donate.

Reverse Advent Calendar / Office Collections
The Leeds South & East Foodbank also have a ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ campaign for offices. Print a copy of the calendar (download below), share the days amongst colleagues, and end up with a full shopping bag by the end of the month to donate!

Donating Food
Any support for foodbanks makes a difference and most supermarkets have donation points at checkouts. Items most in need at the moment are:

• Tinned meals (meat, fish, soups)
• UHT milk and long-life juice
• Pasta, rice, and sauces
• Breakfast cereals
• Christmas treats (biscuits, chocolates, mince pies, etc.)

Donations can be dropped off at the warehouse: Mon-Thurs 9:30-1:30 : Unit 18 Millshaw Park Avenue, Millshaw Industrial Estate, Leeds, LS11 0LR.
