Expert Hunters in Gripping Finish!

The Insurance Institute of Leicester held its 10th Anniversary Treasure Hunt around the streets of Leicester on Thursday 30th July 2015.

This year the course took the teams of hunters through the recently developed Cultural Quarter of Leicester, an area which now blends the new (e.g. the Curve Theatre and the many bars and restaurants), with the old (in terms of the restored architecture, some of which is fascinating).

As usual, the hunt involved a combination of observation and detection skills, studying briefing material, interpreting cryptic clues and a bit of general knowledge. 12 Teams of four took part and everyone learned a bit on the way round.

The weather was fine and the standard of detection high, and, in the end just two points separated the top four teams.

Joint Runners-up were “University Challenged” from the University of Leicester and “Kings of the North” from Enable Insurance Services, but the deserved winners were “Bourne Winners” from Andrew Bourne & Co, a company with an outstanding record of support for the Institute’s Social Event programme.
