History

Lincoln was a centre of Nottingham Institute from 1935. It was reported in the AGM minutes for 1947/48 that when the CII brought a new constitution into being the Lincoln grouping would become a directly affiliated group of the CII.

The first meeting of the newly formed Council of Lincoln Institute took place at the offices of the Road Transport and General Insurance Company on Monday 3rd April 1950 at 5.15pm. Mr R W Page of the Prudential was President and 13 other members of Council attended.
