Men-No-Pause

Introducing Men-No-Pause, an exclusive workshop for men

Welcome to the Men-No-Pause men-only workshop. This 60-minute workshop has been designed specifically to help midlife men build their knowledge and awareness of menopause, enabling them to better support their female partners through this important and often difficult transition in their lives. The methods taught in this workshop, whilst being particularly helpful in our private relationships, can also translate across to our professional relationships and female work colleagues.

As part of this workshop, we will also touch on the hormonal changes that men experience during this time in their lives, and how these may be impacting your personal relationships or affecting your performance at work.

The workshop is intentionally gender exclusive as I recognise this may be a difficult subject for you to talk about. I want to create a safe space for you to learn about menopause, to ask the questions you may feel uncomfortable asking and to enable you to talk openly about you concerns without fear of ridicule or embarrassment.

What will we cover?

This will be an interactive session with opportunities for you to share your experiences and ask those questions you need answered. I guarantee you will come away with more knowledge and the tools to help you to support your partner and colleagues:

  • What menopause is and why it happens– some high-level science to build knowledge.
  • What the common indicators of menopause are– some of the things that your partner/work colleague may be experiencing and how to spot them.
  • How to have the “conversation” with your partner/work colleague– some simple tools to enable you to open the conversation in a supportive and non-confrontational way.
  • Recognising that everything is changing for you both– touching on the male menopause giving you the knowledge to understand what this means for you and how it might impact your relationship with your partner/work colleagues.
  • Tools to help make this a better experience– some simple steps you and your partner/work colleagues can take together to support each other through this stage.

It is relevant to general insurance brokers/intermediaries, their insurers, and any other market participants. Joining instructions will be sent out shortly before the webinar begins.

Jeanette Forder

I’m Jeanette, a 58 year old post-menopausal woman and part of the Fifty-Something Fem-preneur movement. I’ve been married to my hubby, Andrew, for 37 years and share our home with our cat, Duchess and cocker spaniel puppy, Louie. We live in Chatham in Kent and love to take walks in the local woods to keep ourselves fit.

I’m the Founder and CEO of Phoenix Wellness Coaching, a company specialising in helping women to thrive through all the stages of menopause. I set up my company in October 2020 after experiencing a long and at times difficult perimenopause, which ultimately drove me to change careers leaving my safe corporate HR role in the middle of the pandemic to go it alone.

With 20 years’ experience as a Senior HR Business Partner and a Coach, working closely with, advising and challenging senior teams to build an engaged and inclusive culture where staff can thrive and perform to their highest level, I’m able to translate my own experience into useful advice for other senior managers to help them to build a sustainable, and resilient workforce that respects diversity and harnesses the power of difference at every employee’s life stage.

My mission is simply to help thousands of women to change their lives for the better. I want to empower women through knowledge about menopause so they can ace this stage of their lives and embrace the many opportunities that this transition can open for them. Menopause doesn’t have to be a nightmare so long as you’re armed with the information and knowledge you need and the practical tools to help you to overcome the challenges that may arise.

Whilst my focus is on helping women, I also support men and employers. I believe we need to get better at understanding and supporting women so they can continue to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives. I’ve been there and understand what it takes to thrive through menopause. I want to share what I’ve learnt so all women can have the magnificent midlife they desire and deserve.

I’m a fully accredited wellness and life coach and Senior Member of the Association of Counsellors, Coaches, Psychotherapists and Hypnotherapists (ACCPH).
