The Quarterly Monetary Report sets out the economic analysis and inflation projections that the Monetary Policy Committee uses to make its interest rate decisions. The presentation will focus on changes to the outlook since the May 2026 Report and prospects as the economy faces strong headwinds from both at home and abroad.

Speaker Bio
Deputy Agent, North West Agency, Bank Of England
Ken Clark joined the Bank as Deputy Agent for the North West in April 2022.
A former academic, he has published widely in the area of labour economics and held a number of leadership roles in higher education.
Between 2015 and 2021 Ken served as the economist member of the School Teachers' Review Body which advises the Department for Education on teacher pay in English schools.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Politics and Political Economy from the University of Glasgow and a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Manchester.
Ken lives in the High Peak and enjoys running and listening to music in his spare time
