PFS Pension Switch Suitability Masterclass
The PFS North Scotland Committee is pleased to be working with the Insurance Institute of Aberdeen and Insurance Institute of the Highlands and Islands to bring the following CPD session to PFS members free of charge.
Our Pension Switch Suitability Masterclass is a six-hour online structured CPD workshop dedicated to the compliance, technical, practical, and professional synthesis of pension switch advice. From detailed analysis of the client's existing pensions to presenting the advice effectively and compliantly in the suitability report, this course covers the end-to-end pension switch process. It is the six-hour workshop version of our SCQF Level 9 Practical Investment Planning qualification. It is ideal for Financial Advisers and Paraplanners completing pension switch advice looking for CPD that's relevant, high quality, and can genuinely enhance your business.
Due to the nature of the workshop, spaces are limited so early booking is advised. If you are unable to secure a place please contact alan@unburdenedsolutions.co.uk and we will operate a waiting list for members who want to access this valuable content.

Removing the stigma around Mental Health in the workplace & why we shouldn't be afraid
The Edinburgh Insurance society of Edinburgh are delighted to welcome JoJo Fraser our next CPD event around Mental Health in the workplace to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Day
Thursday 10th October is Mental Health awareness day, and to help promote and discuss all things around Mental Health in the workplace, we have decided to have JoJo Fraser to be our guest speaker. JoJo will discuss why we shouldn't be afraid discussing Mental Health in the workplace and squashing the stigma around this subject, whilst at the same time, putting a fun spin on it.
Jojo Fraser is a motivational writer, speaker and presenter who helps people get their mojo back. She has been a mental health researcher for a decade and loves to put an entertaining spin on things, making topics around wellness, lifestyle and mental health current, accessible and relatable.

CII Qualifications & Training Support - Introductory Session
The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen are delighted to welcome Adrian Toomey of Intuition Training to discuss a potential training support programme for Cert, Dip and ACII qualifications which will start in September with the Dip programme with potential for Cert & ACII should there be sufficient interest.
The courses will support learners at all stages of study whether they be starting a qualification or even midway through their Diploma and therefore attendance from anyone studying towards CII qualifications is encouraged.
Remote groups will start on 6 different Diploma units across September, October and November – learners have the flexibility to choose which unit they want training support for:
• M05 Insurance law (2 cohorts – Sept & Nov 2024)
• M92 Insurance business & finance (2 cohorts – Sept & Nov 2024)
• M85 Claims practice
• M66 Delegated authority
• M80 Underwriting practice
• M81 Insurance broking practice
There will be places available to members of The Insurance Institute of Aberdeen at a subsidised cost and spaces are likely to be limited.
