Lunchtime Lecture: Cyber misconceptions and common loss trends

Inlight of recently escalating cyber-attacks, including British Airways resulting in the first major GDPR fine of £183m, this lecture will examine the importance of cyber cover and the main factors affecting it.

We will discuss the benefits of Cyber insurance and why clients should be purchasing this cover, highlighting common misconceptions about cyber threats.

We will also touch on claims trends within the industry and the cross over with crime cover.

Speaker biography:

Lisa Farr is a Cyber Underwriter at Travelers Insurance Company, who, along with the Head of Cyber Europe, launched their CyberRisk product in 2018. Lisa has over 16 years’ experience in the London Market and previously specialised in FI and Commercial Crime risks predominantly in the Latin market.
