12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • Debbie St Cyr LLB (Hons), Head of Compliance Insight & Assurance, Ageas Insurance Ltd

Event Overview:

Do you know what is in the regulatory change pipeline? Do you know what is coming over the Horizon?

Regulatory change can be a good thing for both firms and customers alike; however, it can cause challenges if you don’t know it is happening or what the implications are for your firm or your customers.

Keeping a log of known and potential change provides you with some certainty, well as much as you can get in an ever-changing landscape. Without it, you run the risk of being non-compliant, causing detriment to your customers, becoming uncompetitive or facing regulatory censure. Not a pretty place to be!

This session will provide you with insight into some of the key regulatory changes in the pipeline that will affect brokers and insurers. Hopefully it will confirm that you are on top of everything: but there may be something you have missed or were unsure about.

Speaker: Debbie St Cyr LLB (Hons)

Head of Compliance Insight & Assurance - Ageas Insurance Ltd

Debbie began her insurance career in 1988 and spent approximately a decade each at Black Horse Life, Swiss Re Life & Health and LV= before joining Ageas at the beginning of 2017.

Her initial career covered a multitude of customer services activity before moving into a technical compliance role in January 1995. Her compliance career has evolved from supporting a direct sales force with every query you can imagine it could ask, through first and second line compliance activity to where it is now; running compliance insight teams.

She has represented three of her companies on the regulatory and European committees at both the Investment & Life Assurance Group (ILAG) and the Association of British Insurers (ABI) which has enabled her to get involved in helping to shape future regulation with HMT, FSA/FCA and in Europe.
