Lunchtime CPD Networking - 11th March 2020 - Cancelled - Corona Virus

Hallmark Carlton
Wednesday, 11 March 2020
12:30 pm – 2:00 pm (UK time)
    • Louise White, Talent & Development Consultant, Ageas Insurance Ltd

Presentation Overview:

It is likely in the course of your work you will face a number of challenging situations from time to time. For instance have you ever experienced any of the following?

  • An unreasonable request from a customer or colleague
  • Lack of co-operation from another department
  • Having to convey an unpopular decision
  • Disagreeing with a point of view a more senior person is forcefully expressing

These situations are challenging because your needs are in conflict with the needs of others and are made worse, or better, depending on how you handle them and the way in which you communicate.

This session will explore the different outcomes that can be achieved by using different communication styles and offer a range of techniques to help you assert yourself with confidence.
