In a world where stress and mental health have become big news it’s important that we understand what steps we can take to promote a working environment where people are able thrive and work with increasing effectiveness.

This workshop is aimed at staff working at all levels in the insurance industry. This session will provide you with a valuable introduction to mental health and wellbeing in the workplace. We will be exploring how to promote positive mental health and looking at how best to support yourself and others.

Never before has there been such a focus on wellbeing in the workplace. Plenty of studies tell us how much of our productivity can be affected by stress and poor mental health.

Imagine the benefits we would all enjoy if we took better care of ourselves and others and promoted ways of improving our wellbeing and resilience. It makes perfect business sense too when you consider the positive impact on your customers and clients.

Following the landmark review called ‘Thriving at Work’ in 2018 the Chartered Insurance Institute, in partnership with Mind, published a guide to implementing the standards within the insurance industry. It has encouraged employers to take positive steps to make working environments a better and ‘happier’ place to be.
