Summary:

On the next workshop we’ll explore the impact for changing your culture. In this session we’ll recap on the first 2 sessions and look at business cases for supporting working parents, retaining talent long term. Attendees with be provided with tools to make change within their organisation and influence the retention and support of their working parent community. We’ll look at the impact of developing your working parent proposition.

Learning Objectives:

Objective 1: Attendees will walk away with a business case for supporting working parents and retaining talent long term We’ll recap on some of the data from the first session including the importance of supporting working parents and how that contributes to the gender pay gap in insurance. We’ll also re-visit policy, process and practice and how organisations approach that.

Objective 2: Attendees will be provided with tools and techniques that enable them to return to their organisation and immediately make change that influences the retention and support of their working parent community We’ll revisit the seven themes of the Careers After Babies framework, recapping briefly on flexible working and equitable policies but focusing on the other five themes: Parenting is Valued; Consistent Nurture & Support; Inclusive & Empathetic Line Management, Role Models Parenting Loudly; and Parents are Progressing.

Objective 3: Attendees will be able to argue for change within their own organisations citing examples from other industries the impact of developing their working parent proposition Sharing organisational data from our accreditation programme, we’ll evidence the impact of making change. Tying data back to the themes and pillars, we’ll prove how such initiatives successfully impact organisational performance and culture.
