This is the penultimate of our current booked sessions in our Womens forum so dont miss out!
This session will be live online on Zoom. It will not be recorded as we aim to create a safe space for members to express themselves, network and grow.
These sessions are for all levels of PFS and CII and future topics will be established from member feedback within the group.
The sessions are facilitated by Caroline who is a Certified Coach and NLP Trainer, however, these sessions are an exploration for all and so please bring your top tips to share with other members of the group and be open to explore and encourage eachother.

Presenter: Martin Pope - Fire & Explosions Expert - Hawkins Forensic Investigation
Continuing the topic of self-heating, Martin provides an opportunity for the audience to consider the factors that affect self-heating processes. He will share details from real cases and discuss how science provides clues into this fascinating subject, including how different processes can lead to devastating fires in commercial laundries and hay barns, as well as fires in domestic properties which can be caused by tumble dryers.

The Ogden rate may sound an obscure thing, but it has massive implications both positively and negatively on liability settlements. The story will be narrated by Jeff Heasman using specially commissioned artwork.

Webinar - Proximate Cause & Exclusions: The Court of Appeal Provides Further Guidance
In January 2023 the Court of Appeal delivered its judgment in the case of Brian Leighton (Garages) Ltd v Allianz Insurance Plc. This was followed by the Court of Appeal´s judgment in The University of Exeter v Allianz Insurance Plc. These cases provide further guidance as to what should be taken into account when considering scope of cover and especially proximate cause and exclusions. In this session, Jeff Heasman will examine the key aspects of the judgments and their impact on insureds and insurers.
