Renewable Energy

Tuesday, 31 March 2015
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm (UK time)

An event focussing on renewable energy and associated technologies.

Learning objectives:

By attending this seminar members will be able to identify:

- How renewable energy works – wind, solar, hydro, bio-energy
- What underwriting considerations for renewable energy should be considered
- Where claims arise in connection with renewable energy.

The presentation will be run by Alistair Cottle, Senior Trading Underwriter for Construction, Power and Engineering at Aviva with a particular interest in renewable energy.

Having worked as a broker for 10 years, Alistair recently switched his attention to underwriting where he believes he brings both perspectives to the table when considering risks and the possible implications to clients. He is actively engaged with the industry delivering education programs and this is reflected in his own exploits where he has MSc in Psychology, is an Associate with the CII and represents the Edinburgh Insurance Institute on the Education committee.
