Our Annual Charity Quiz Night returned to its usual autumn spot and was a sell out, raising £475 for local Halifax charity Mothershare.

Our Annual Charity Quiz Night returned to its usual autumn spot and was a sell out.

Scores were very close after the first round with Lucy's Lovelys from Eastwoods in the lead, closely followed by Macca'a Marvels from Romeros & our Treasurer, David Heap's team, And Then There Were Three in joint 2nd place. Trophy holders, Brighter by Name Not by Nature jumped into first place after the second round but Lucy's Lovelys pulled back into joint first place when we broke for pizzas at the half way stage.

Last year's runners up, Classic Peters from PIB, were well refreshed after the break and moved into first place after the 4th round, just half a point ahead of Macca's Marvels. At this point, Team Jess from Romeros had moved into 3rd place but then had two full scoring rounds to finish as eventual winners and proud guardians of the Martyn Foulds Memorial Trophy. Brighter by Name Not by Nature were runners up, with Macca's Marvels finishing 3rd.

Thanks to very kind donations of raffle prizes from Romeros, Eastwoods, Arch Insurance and Tysers which, together with support from All Pizzetto and everyone's generosity on the night, helped us to raise £475 for local Halifax charity Mothershare
