The Insurance Institute of Inverness, The Highlands and Islands is happy to announce that their next CPD event will focus on current issues in technical claims.

Exploding washing machines, self heating paints, electrical fuse boxes which catch fire...should you be worried? Beware - this talk will leave you looking around your own home and workplace with a new perspective on what can and does go wrong, and how bad the aftermath can be!

Learning objectives:

By attending this event delegates will be able to identify:

- Current ‘big issues' in technical claims
- Key claims arising from fire, explosion, engineering failures and water leaks
- Technical claims and fraud.

Delivered by Danny Pointon, Danny is a Partner at Burgoynes, a company which has been involved in accident investigations for over 45 years. A graduate of Cambridge University and now based in Glasgow, Danny has specialised in the investigation of engineering failures which has seen him travel the globe to investigate incidents on both land and sea.

He has lectured on fire investigation techniques to various Police Forces and Fire Brigades within the UK and further afield.
