The Gordon Warren Young Achiever of the Year Award is presented to a young person in the local area that who has made the greatest strides forward in their career through outstanding Professional Development.

Criteria

First introduced in 2005 in memory of Gordon Warren, who served our institute with distinction for over 50 years, we are once again inviting nominations for this prestigious award.

This year, we welcome nominations from all employers across the Suffolk & North Essex region for any individual, whether or not they are a member of the institute, who was under the age of 30 as of 31 December 2025 and has demonstrated exceptional progress in their career through outstanding professional development over the past year.

Nominations can be submitted by anyone within a company using the official nomination form. Please note that each nomination must be endorsed by the individual’s line manager or a senior manager

The judges will be seeking an individual who has actively invested in their own development over the past 12 months, whether by completing institute examinations or through other professional or vocational learning and who has also demonstrated one or more of the following during the same period:

- Made a meaningful contribution to a work-based project that delivered tangible benefits to their business, or

- Played a key role in a community initiative that positively reflects the insurance profession, or

- Delivered an exceptional performance that significantly exceeded expectations for someone of their age and experience, thereby contributing to the success of their team.
