Cumbria is open

We are supporting Cumbria Tourism who have been working hard to ensure that both local residents and tourists are updated with the latest information and guidance following the recent floods.

Cumbria Tourism social media channels are an excellent resource to provide the most up to date information on activity across the county. They are also providing e-newsletters to businesses across Cumbria with the latest guidance on road, rail and transport conditions, flooding recovery guidance, business toolkits and recovery funding. Follow them on Twitter @cumbriatourism @golakes @LakeDistrictPR and www.facebook.com/cumbriatouristboard and www.facebook.com/golakes or call the helpline on 01539 822222:

"We are keenly aware that the many businesses who remain open, or have been able to reopen after a short period, need visitors’ support now more than ever. Consequently, Cumbria Tourism has been promoting the message ‘Cumbria is open’ across our social media channels, in press releases and interviews with local and national press.

It would be fantastic if you can engage with the social media hashtags #cumbriaisopen and the #theplacetobe as we promote businesses that are open, and showcase areas that are back up and running after the floods."
