The Construction industry is a complex area for insurance to cover because of several reasons: The sheer cost of some building projects, the amount of equipment & materials required to complete the project, as well making sure all parties to the process are adequately covered. It is important that risks are assessed properly, and all the potential losses are considered.

This session will look at construction insurance and the aspects of risk that an underwriter or broker may see.

We will consider the exposures that the construction industry may face together with the legal issues that may accompany them. We will consider what needs to be covered and how this cover may differ from other commercial insurance.

Speaker Biography:

Helen Davies is an experienced insurance professional with 20 years’ experience in the industry, having worked across a range of roles within both personal lines and commercial insurance. This breadth of experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the insurance process from inception to renewal and claims.

Over the past 4 years, Helen have transitioned into a training role, delivering both remote and face to face learning to support individuals at various stages of their insurance careers. Through this role, she have developed a strong understanding of compliance requirements and FCA regulations, and the impact these have on insurance professionals and business practices.
