Products get made all over the world. Once that a product is made, it needs to be transported to the retailer to be sold. This course will explore the element of marine cargo insurance, and how contracts are formed between the seller and the buyer of the goods.
This session will explore the insurable interest principle and how it differs to a general insurance product due to the nature and operation of this industry. You will determine the variety of products available within the market, along with the appropriate underwriting considerations for each.
Finally, the webinar will look at how claims arise, and how they technically work when a loss occurs.

Speaker Biography:
Helen Davies is an experienced insurance professional with 20 years’ experience in the industry, having worked across a range of roles within both personal lines and commercial insurance. This breadth of experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the insurance process from inception to renewal and claims.
Over the past 4 years, Helen have transitioned into a training role, delivering both remote and face to face learning to support individuals at various stages of their insurance careers. Through this role, she have developed a strong understanding of compliance requirements and FCA regulations, and the impact these have on insurance professionals and business practices.
