  • What exactly is cyber security?
  • Why does cyber crime happen?
  • What are the risks to you and your client?
  • How does cyber crime happen?
  • What is happening with cyber insurance?

At the end of the seminar delegates should:

  • Have a better understanding of cyber threats.
  • Understand why cyber security and cyber insurance are essential to every business.
  • Have a better idea of how to explain cyber risk to clients.

Speaker: Aaron Yates

CEO of Berea

Aaron Yates is the founder and CEO of Berea, a Leicester-based cyber security company. Berea work closely with a growing network of brokers and insurers on cyber security, including JLT and Bluefin Group. Aaron speaks regularly on this topic for the CII around the UK.

Aaron recently acted as the ‘expert witness’ for the mock trial of an insurance broker for failure to advise correctly on cyber insurance in line with the Insurance Act, in partnership with the Nottingham Insurance Institute and Browne Jacobson.
