Our Deputy President's Charity Challenge
23 March 2026Between the 4th and the 8th June this year, our Deputy President, George Heron, is taking on a charity challenge to climb Mt Toubkal in Morocco - the highest peak in North Africa. In his words "This is the biggest challenge I’ve undertaken so far, with a three-day trek to the summit!"
Our Deputy President's Charity Challenge
George is raising money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, a brilliant cause based right here in Merseyside. As many of us know and have sadly experienced ourselves, Clatterbridge is an incredible organisation, working tirelessly to support people affected by cancer. And with the shocking statistic that 1 in 2 people will face cancer in their lifetime, it was a challenge the George wanted to take on to raise awareness and funds to allow them to continue to carry out their incredible work.
George has a sponsorship target of £3,000 that he is looking to raise. If you are able to support him through your donations no matter how large or small, it would be hugely appreciated.

We have received a lovely thank you from Debbie Rogers, CEO and Founder of Sean's Place, our President's Charity this year.
An amazing total of £2,005 was raised at our Annual Dinner held at the Titanic Hotel and Debbie wanted to pass on her thanks to everyone who attended and kindly donated to such a worthy cause.
