The speaker will discuss recent developments in the UK economy and the Monetary Policy Committee’s forecasts for economic growth and inflation. He’ll explain what that is expected to mean for interest rates, and answer questions on that or other economic topics.

Speaker Profile

Dr Brian Sloan is the Bank of England’s Deputy Agent for the North West of England. The Agencies are the Bank's “eyes, ears and voice” in the regions, collecting information about trends and developments across the country, and explaining the Bank’s views and policy decisions to local businesses and other groups.
